LUCENA CITY — A 47-year-old man drowned in a river in Sariaya town in Quezon after being swept away by strong currents amid heavy rains, police said. The victim, “Armando,” a resident of Barangay Sampaloc Bogon, was crossing the river at about 4 p.m. Tuesday to check on his cows. He failed to return home.
