Man charged in connection with death of nine-year-old girl

She was found injured in an industrial estate in Arbroath in the early hours of Monday and later died in hospital.

Police Scotland say the man, described as white and British, will appear in court later today following the incident at around midnight on Monday.

Three other people were reportedly taken to hospital after the incident, but have since been released

A 35-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a nine-year-old child in Arbroath.

The 35-year-old man, who was known to the girl, is scheduled to appear in court later today.

Police were called to an industrial estate in Arbroath in the early hours of Monday morning.

Police are treating the death as suspicious and the white British man is due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
