Man admits murder of woman in Kirklees before trial

A Kirklees man who inflicted fatal head injuries on a woman in Almondbury has pleaded guilty to her murder at a pre-trial hearing.

“I shot Mr Thompson in Manhattan, and he died,” Mangione told the court as he pleaded guilty to federal charges of stalking resulting in death. He is now seeking to dismiss a state murder trial.
