Magnitude 4.9 earthquake jolts Eastern Samar

TACLOBAN CITY CITY — A magnitude 4.9 earthquake struck near Maydolong, Eastern Samar early Monday, Aug. 10. The tremor was felt in varying intensities in parts of Eastern Samar, Samar, Northern Samar and Leyte, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
