Lula's lead over Flavio Bolsonaro narrows ahead of Brazil election, Quaest poll shows

SAO PAULO, Sept 2 - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva's lead over right-wing challenger Senator Flavio Bolsonaro narrowed further ahead of October's election, with the two locked in a technical tie, a Quaest poll commissioned by Globo showed on Wednesday.

President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Flávio Bolsonaro are deadlocked in a virtual tie ahead of Brazil’s October presidential election, as the leftist leader faces fallout from corruption allegations involving one of his sons.

Flavio Bolsonaro would declare gangs and militias terrorist groups and create a public security ministry with the states, after meeting El Salvador's justice minister in Sao Paulo.
