At least 437 civilians were killed and 2,610 injured in Ukraine in July, according to the report.

The number of civilians killed in Ukraine in July jumped to its highest level since the first months of the Russian invasion, the United Nations said, as Moscow intensified its long-range missile strikes.

Beyond the big single-month jump, the collective red ink over the 10 months of the fiscal year rose to nearly $1.8 trillion, surpassing the same period in 2025.

At least 634 civilians were killed in July in strikes on civilian infrastructure, making it the deadliest month in at least 2.5 years, according to the Conflict Intelligence Team. More than 4,590 people were injured, with around 30% of the fatalities recorded in Russia or occupied Ukrainian territories.

The country's domestic gas production has fallen drastically since the beginning of the US-Israel-Iran war in February.
