Lions’ new $25 million center suffers significant injury in early blow

It was a tough Monday for the Lions. The team’s new center, Cade Mays, suffered a major wrist injury that will sideline him for a “significant period of time,” head coach Dan Campbell announced. Ian Rapoport reported the injury is a fracture to a small bone in his wrist that will keep Mays out for roughly 8-10 weeks. I

The Detroit Lions lost another player to injury days before their preseason opener against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday.

Mays was Detroit's big free-agent acquisition and now the rebuilt offensive line has another spot to fill.
