Kwara-Woro freed victims arrive Ilorin; children already enlisted in bandits army, says lawmaker

Following sustained military operations and coordinated efforts by security agencies, the victims regained their freedom and were transported from Niger State to Ilorin late Thursday night.

Kwara State Governor confirms the rescue of 300 hostages, including 163 from Kwara and 145 from Niger, after a major security operation.

The presidency said 163 of them were abducted from Kwara State, while the 145 others were taken from Niger State.

President Tinubu also directed security agencies to intensify efforts to prevent future abductions by strengthening early warning systems, improving community-level intelligence gathering and enhancing rapid response capabilities.
