Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese leader Xi Jinping discussed the possibility of holding a trilateral meeting with their US counterpart Donald Trump when China hosts the APEC summit later this year, according to Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov.

The three leaders could meet at the next summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum.
