Kogi gov hails rescue of 15 NYSC members, six others

David Ayodele, one of the 15 NYSC members rescued from kidnappers in Kogi, said the abductors flogged and kicked the victims before threatening to keep them in the forest for a month and kill them.

[Leadership] President Bola Tinubu on Monday announced the safe rescue of 21 people abducted last week in Kogi State following a coordinated Search and Rescue operation by the military, the Nigeria Police Force, the Department of State Services and local vigilantes.

The President commended the security agencies for what he described as a well-coordinated search-and-rescue (SAR) operation that ensured the kidnapped victims regained their freedom.
