KNUST administrators declare indefinite strike over allowance disparities, working conditions

The Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has declared an indefinite strike, effective Monday August 10.

Sixty years ago, the first province-wide strike took place in Quebec’s hospitals. This massive walkout proved decisive for working conditions in the healthcare sector in Quebec and led to the very first national collective agreement. The impact of this strike is still being felt today.
