Kerala High Court seeks response of CBI and State govt. in plea against cashew import scam accused

Petition seeks to bar K.A. Ratheesh, former managing director of the Kerala State Cashew Development Corporation and one of the accused in the ₹600-crore cashew import scam, from holding key government posts

The Kerala high court granted bail to an accused in an NDPS case. This decision followed the court's finding of non-compliance with legal notification requirements. The police had failed to inform a relative or friend of the arrested individual. Merely informing the live-in partner's father did not satisfy the law.
