Kenya: Helicopter crash kills 7, including Ecuador spy boss

Six passengers — five US citizens and Ecuador's intel boss — all died in a remote area of Kenya on Wednesday when their helicopter crashed. Aviation accidents in Kenya have increased as tourism expands in the country.

The aviation authority said the aircraft was a Eurocopter EC130 B4.

All seven people on board were killed - one pilot and six passengers.

Five Americans, including Telemundo executive José Suárez, were killed when a charter helicopter carrying seven people crashed in a mountainous region of northern Kenya.

NBCUniversal said its Florida-based journalist, José Alberto Suárez, was among those killed in the crash.

Seven people, including six tourists and the pilot, have died after a helicopter came down near Mount Ololokwe in central Kenya, according to air accident officials.

The victims are said to include the head of Ecuador's National Intelligence Centre, his wife, and five Americans.
