Iran says Hormuz interim deal agreed with Oman

Iranian officials claimed on Wednesday that Oman has agreed to an interim deal over the strait that would see ships transit through Iran's territorial waters.

Deputy foreign minster says the route's entry as well as part of the exit would run through Iranian territorial waters.

The Strait of Hormuz, through which about a fifth of the world's oil and liquefied natural gas previously passed, has remained largely closed since March.
