Police said Alexander Cromie and Marie Ebert crashed near the heliport in Sifnos after travelling from Athens.

Video footage circulating on social media appears to show the site of the crash, with flames and plumes of dark smoke visible on a hillside.

A private helicopter crashed and sparked a fire in the Tholos area of Sifnos, according to Greek authorities. The bodies of three people were recovered from the site, the fire department said.
