Iran president says time to end war while in position of strength

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said Friday it was time to end the months-long Middle East war with the United States because Tehran was in a position of strength over Washington.

Pezeshkian called for an end to the conflict, saying Iran’s armed forces are prepared to defend the country while claiming Tehran has emerged victorious.

He says a peace memorandum signed in June has no single clause suggesting Iran’s capitulation.
