Iran, Oman say discussed temporary Hormuz corridor, mine-clearing

The Strait of Hormuz became a flashpoint early in the Middle East war.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi said a phased framework was discussed with his Iranian counterpart to establish a joint temporary navigational corridor and clear mines from the strait.

The two countries are also discussing a joint mine-clearing mission, even as President Trump said the U.S. Navy had already removed all mines from the waterway
