Iran invited to join Pakistan-Turkey-Saudi Arabia's Mecca defence pact? Report says proposal being ‘considered’

Head of the Iranian Parliament news agency, Mehdi Rahimi, reportedly revealed information about the official invitation to Tehran to join the Mecca agreement.

The invitation has not yet been officially confirmed by Iran's Foreign Ministry or by any of the three countries that are parties to the agreement.

This gives a new template to Bangladesh's foreign policy at a time when there have been strains over a Sheikh Hasina event in New Delhi even as both countries are working towards a reset in ties.
