India warns incidents on disputed border will affect China relations

During the foreign ministry's biweekly briefing, spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal did not deny that a fresh border incident had occurred.

India considers incidents along its disputed border with China “most serious” and “the state of the border affairs” will “reflect on the state of our larger bilateral ties,” the Ministry of External Affairs said in response to a question about a fresh military face-off.

China said India should avoid turning border issue into a larger dispute, as such actions could stifle the improving political ties between the two countries

The Union government has formally named twenty-seven locations in Arunachal Pradesh. These places include memorials honoring Indian Army war heroes from past conflicts.
