India marks 80th Independence Day with military display

India marked its 80th Independence Day at Delhi’s historic Red Fort.

President’s remarks assume significance against the backdrop of the recent student-led protests over demands for systemic reforms following irregularities and paper leaks in competitive examinations

Russian cosmonauts Pyotr Dubrov, Anna Kikina and Andrey Fedyaev recorded a heartfelt video message to mark India's Independence Day, recalling the long and remarkable history of cooperation between New Delhi and Moscow.

According to GTRI’s analysis, in June India imported crude oil worth $14.8 billion from all sources, of which $7.2 billion came from Russia. This translated into a Russian share of 48.6%.
