Weeks ago, the Metropolitan Museum announced controversial British designer John Galliano as the theme for its 2027 Met Gala. Now, it has rescinded its decision.

A French court convicted Galliano in 2011 of making racist and antisemitic comments, after he hurled Jewish and Asian slurs at a Paris bar.
