Maritime security sources told Reuters a cargo ship was believed to have been targeted in the Red Sea, but the fate of the crew was unclear.

Aug 9 (Reuters) - Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthis said they had attacked Saudi Aramco's Jazan refinery on Sunday, two days after the kingdom signed a defence pact with Turkey and Pakistan. The Saudi energy ministry said a fire had broken out at the refinery that was later extinguished, without saying what caused the fire.

Aramco previously shut down the refinery on July 27 following another Houthi attack.

A fire broke out at Saudi Aramco’s Jazan oil refinery early Sunday, and the blaze has been extinguished, the country’s energy ministry said.
