HBO orders 'People v. Gorilla Grodd,' new DC series in Superman world

"The People v. Gorilla Grodd," a new DCEU comedy series starring "Superman" actor Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, is coming to HBO and HBO Max.

The DC Studios comedy stars Skyler Gisondo and Jimmy Tatro and comes from 'American Vandal' creators Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault.

HBO Max is officially moving forward with their DC Studios mockumentary series, now titled “The People v. Gorilla Grodd.” The show was first reported to be in the works in November 2025. As reported at the time, Skyler Gisondo will reprise the role of Jimmy Olsen, whom he first played in the 2025 “Superman” movie.…
