Hamilton knife attack: Man charged with attempted murder after four people injured

Four people were injured in an alleged knife attack in Hamilton's Maeroa.

The man is due to appear in Hamilton District Court on Monday charged with attempted murder, aggravated burglary and two counts of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Police rushed to the Stanwell Hotel in west London at around 6.30pm on Saturday evening after reports of a stabbing.

Police said there would be extra police in the Maeroa area over the next few days.
