Hair sample found at Nancy Guthrie's home inconclusive as search hits 6-month mark

A hair sample found at the home of Nancy Guthrie came back inconclusive after undergoing testing, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos revealed Thursday.

That leaves a mixed sample of DNA retrieved from the home as the only known piece of biological evidence in the case.

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos released a statement Thursday marking six months since the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie from her Arizona home.

The embattled sheriff leading the search for Nancy Guthrie admitted that analyzing the DNA and digital evidence collected during the nearly six-month-long investigation has been “complex and time-intensive.”
