GoldBod to fund rehabilitation of six water treatment plants affected by mining

The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) will fully fund the rehabilitation of six water treatment plants shut down due to poor water quality linked to irresponsible mining and other activities.

Technical sanction has been received for the 190-million-litre-per-day (MLD) water treatment plant proposed in Aluva to address drinking water shortages in the Kochi Corporation and nearby municipalities and grama panchayats. A Kerala Water Authority (KWA) source said the agency could proceed with the tendering process
