Glasgow theatre announces packed 2027 season featuring iconic Broadway musical

Glasgow's Citizens Theatre  has revealed a packed 2027 season, featuring classic drama, new writing, and a fresh take on an iconic Broadway musicals.

"Purple Rain," a stage musical inspired by the 1984 film starring and featuring music by late singer Prince, is heading to Broadway in 2027.

The musical has replaced its original creative team adding director Saheem Ali and book writer Peter Duchan.
