Frosty weather forecast: Cold southerly to bring low temperatures this week

Freezing southerlies will bring frosts and temperatures as low as -9C.

MetService said rain is likely for the central and upper North Island - including Auckland - on Sunday.

Residents of Ottawa and eastern Ontario are being warned that scattered thunderstorms could move through the area today. Environment Canada has issued a yellow watch – severe thunderstorm for the Ottawa area.
