From loudest bark to smartest nose, Corgis test their skills at a growing international race

Fifth Corgi Race Vilnius drew dogs and their owners to the Lithuanian capital’s Vingis park on Saturday for what organizers said was the biggest edition yet

One-hundred-and-fifty short-legged dogs delighted fans at the fifth Corgi Race in Vilnius, Lithuania, on Saturday.

The international race celebrating the little dogs features a costume parade, a nose competition and a contest for the loudest bark.

A total of 150 corgis from nine countries jetted to the ‘European capital of corgis’ for the event

Around 150 corgis from nine countries gathered in Vilnius for a day of racing, costumes, barking contests and plenty of fluffy fun.

The pups played their hardest for superlatives like "Sharpest Nose" and other titles.

Corgis from the U.S. and eight countries across Europe donned colourful costumes, including a dress and dinosaur suit, as part of an international competition in Vilnius, Lithuania.

There were competitors from Lithuania, Latvia, Poland, Estonia, Germany, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, the United States and Britain — the country most closely associated with the breed, famously a favorite of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
