South Yorkshire Police said officers were called to a property on Holywell Heights in the Wincobank area of Sheffield at around 5.58am on August 30

'Officers are hard at work to ensure justice is secured for the baby girl at the heart of this investigation.'

On arrival, South Yorkshire Police officers searched the home and found the baby. Despite desperate efforts by paramedics, the newborn was pronounced dead at the scene.
