Authorities have arrested a man accused of intentionally igniting the devastating fires in and around Spokane, Washington, that have already forced tens of thousands to evacuate their homes. Kris Van Cleave reports and Rob Marciano has the forecast.

Authorities say about 65,000 people have been displaced by the fires in Washington state.

Flames are tearing through Spokane in Washington state, forcing more than 60,000 to evacuate. Neighborhoods are obliterated with shells of homes left behind. NBC’s Morgan Chesky reports for TODAY.

Fast-moving fires left a trail of destruction in the northwestern US city of Spokane, with officials reporting hundreds of structures reduced to cinders.

Thousands of people have been evacuated.

Spokane Valley in Washington State saw thousands being evacuated due to wildfires in the area, including the Old Trails fire which has spread over 2,000 acres.
