A senior Fifa figure leaves football's world governing body three weeks after criticising its president Gianni Infantino.

Football's world governing body, FIFA, has sacked one of its most senior figures after he criticised Gianni Infantino's plan to sell part of the World Cup to investors, Sky News understands.

Kevin Lamour had accused Infantino of ‘deceiving’ Fifa over his now-abandoned World Cup plans

the FIFA executive released a statement to the Associated Press on July 31 criticising Gianni Infantino's FFE plans.

The trio of resignations come amid friction between West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Whitehall over the tram project.
