FG orders expulsion of students involved in kidnapping

The Federal Government has directed tertiary institutions to expel students involved in kidnapping and other violent crimes to strengthen campus security.

The minister said institutions must not tolerate criminality among students, warning that failure to act decisively could encourage a culture of impunity.

[Daily Trust] The Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, has directed Vice Chancellors, Rectors and Provosts of tertiary institutions across the country to dismiss any student found culpable, after due investigation of involvement in kidnapping or related criminal activities.
