Navy sailor Joshua Aviles posted a family statement on his Facebook page that his father Luis Manuel Aviles “has been released back to our family.”

Luis Manuel Aviles Roa, the father of a U.S. Navy sailor onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, was released by ICE on Tuesday, his family told CBS News.

The sailor, Joshua Aviles, was on his way home from the Middle East aboard the beleaguered aircraft carrier when he learned his father had been detained.
