FAAN backtracks, says no fire at Lagos airport’s Terminal 2

FAAN clarifies there was no fire at Lagos Airport’s Terminal 2, attributing smoke to a fire suppression system discharge. Normal operations have resumed.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed a fire incident at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. FAAN, in a statement on Sunday via its official X handle, said its Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) was responding to the incident and working to contain th
