European leaders outraged after 50,000 migrants cross into Spain’s Ceuta

Spanish officials said nearly 50,000 migrants rushed the Spanish territory over the past 24 hours

Several European leaders made open calls on Thursday and Friday for their countries to expel Spain from of the EU's Schengen open-borders area in response to the dramatic illegal migrant wave storming the Spanish enclave of Ceuta.

France and the UK have offered assistance, while other countries, including Italy and Denmark called on Spain's barring from the Schengen area.
