Embattled Republican Chuck Edwards Abandons House Reelection Bid

Republican Representative Chuck Edwards will not seek reelection to his competitive North Carolina US House seat after the Ethics Committee recommended censuring him for violating rules regarding inappropriate conduct in the workplace.

The House Ethics Committee said there is "substantial reason to believe" Rep. Chuck Edwards violated House rules related to sexual harassment and hostile workplaces. Edwards denied any wrongdoing.
