Ecuador seizes half-ton of cocaine marked with Haaland, Messi names

Ecuadorian authorities seized a half-ton of cocaine hidden in a truck near Colombia whose packages were marked with the names of soccer stars.

Ecuadorian police have seized hundreds of kilograms of cocainee in an area known as Guagua Negro near the Colombian border. Anti-narcotics officers spotted a suspicious truck during an operation and moved in.

The driver of the vehicle was arrested following the seizure of the stash of 469 kilograms (1,034 pounds) of cocaine on Wednesday, police said.
