eBay agrees $56m settlement with bloggers over harassment case

eBay and some former executives have agreed to pay a couple $56m (£42m) after a campaign of harassment in retaliation for their online criticism of the firm.

Former eBay executives carried out "unprecedented" harassment over a critical newsletter.

For months on end, eBay employees and contractors made life hell for a couple that had criticized the company. Six years later, the company is finally paying up.

The payout resolves a 2021 civil lawsuit brought by newsletter publishers David and Ina Steiner over a 2019 campaign to silence their reporting
