The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) is set to take full control of the production of vehicle number plates in Ghana, ending its reliance on imported plates and third-party manufacturers.

A specialist DVLA panel reviews every new registration batch twice a year, scrutinising thousands of potential combinations before deciding which should be blacklisted.
