Dropped on 0 and 1, Padikkal goes on to smash second consecuitve century

Top-order batter Devdutt Padikkal's fine form continued as he scored 117 to help India reach 300-5 at stumps on the opening day of the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday.

Devdutt Padikkal, who was batting on 91, needed only a few deliveries to reach three figures. He hit Prabath Jayasuriya for two consecutive boundaries before taking a single to complete his century. The hundred is Padikkal's second century in Test cricket.
