Cyclosporiasis outbreak tied to recalled lettuce expands to 15 states

An outbreak of cyclosporiasis cases tied to recalled iceberg lettuce has been expanded to 15 states, the Food and Drug Administration said Wednesday.

Six states were added to the multistate outbreak since the last update -- Arkansas, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, New Hampshire and North Carolina.

Cyclospora cases have been reported in at least 47 states total this year, and investigators have continued to probe how many could be linked to a common contaminated source.
