Crunchyroll, Sony Nab Makoto Shinkai’s Untitled Next Film for Global Release

The deal covers every territory outside Asia, with the exception of India, for a director whose last three features grossed a combined $874 million worldwide.

Crunchyroll has acquired the worldwide distribution rights to Makoto Shinkai’s next feature film. The distribution will exclude Asia, except for India.
