In the town of Gary, where a third of residents live in poverty, people say they have been living in "survival mode".

Residents of Gary Indiana, where many live in poverty, are still dealing with power outages 11 days after deadly storms brought record rainfall and major flooding throughout the region. Ash-Har Quraishi reports.

Gov. Mike Braun called on the local utility to “match the urgency” of Gary area residents who have had to endure an outage approaching its second week.
