What in the world was Warner Bros. thinking? In 2023 they canceled, shelved, ditched the finished animated/live action hybrid feature, Coyote vs. Acme in favor of a tax writeoff rather than releasing the movie in theatres, or even streaming. This sort of corporate move would indicate the studio thinks the movie itself

Written by Samy Burch and directed by Dave Green, the movie also features Lana Condor, Luis Guzman and a plethora of beloved cartoon characters.

At heart, "Coyote vs. Acme" is a courtroom comedy. But the upshot of the movie is to integrate as much Road Runner-style mayhem as possible into a live-action universe. The film is chock-full of affectionate nods and references and Looney Tunes Easter eggs. It could have been called "Remembrance of Rube Goldberg Bombs
