The ruling Saturday by judges of the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals rejected the Trump administration's effort to move forward with the mail-in voting restrictions.

While the Boston judge’s injunction doesn’t apply nationwide, it’s considered a significant impediment to the administration’s ability to carry out the president's executive order for the November vote

The DOJ previously told the court it could seek emergency relief from the Supreme Court if it did not prevail.
