Nine-year-old Irena (Ira) Mereacre has been named locally as the second victim of the crash in County Cavan in Ireland which also claimed the life of her mother, 53-year-old Nell Raven

Irena Mereacre died on Tuesday afternoon, days after her mother Nell Raven was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision in Shercock.

The 10-year-old girl who died from injuries she sustained in a crash in Cavan, which also claimed the life of her mother, has been named locally as Irena Mereacre.
