COP17: Africa must connect science to action to tackle land degradation — Expert

The Professor argued that Africa does not primarily lack scientific knowledge to address land degradation and drought; rather, the continent faces gaps in data continuity, technology deployment, local-scale evidence and the ability to translate scientific findings into policy and action.

Delegates of 179 members of the UN Convention to Combat Desertification engage with local communities and business partners to find solutions for land degradation which affects half of world's population and creates poverty and mass migration.
