Colombia Earthquake Toll Rises to 329 Dead and 247 Missing

The latest figure brings the death toll up from last week’s figure of 6,301.

The US Geological Survey said the earthquake hit Indonesia’s Flores region at a depth of 10 kilometers at 5:58 am local time. At least 235 aftershocks followed.

Around 290 people have died, with 140 more missing and nearly 4,000 more injured, according to official estimates. More than two-thirds of the deaths were concentrated in Cali and Pereira.
