Closing arguments are set for Monday in the trial of an ex-gang leader accused of masterminding the drive-by killing of hip-hop legend Tupac Shakur in Las Vegas, a cold case that became emblematic of violence permeating 1990s rap culture.

The jury heard recordings of Duane Keith Davis discussing the shooting; the defense said there was no physical evidence tying him to Las Vegas the night of the crime.

Attorneys finalized jury instructions with the judge Friday after witness testimony wrapped Thursday in the trial of Duane Davis, also known as "Keefe D," who's accused of orchestrating the drive-by shooting that killed Tupac Shakur in 1996.
